Power of Words Series: Tenacity
Tenacity is defined as being persistent in maintaining, adhering to, or seeking something valued or desired; not easily pulled apart; and not easily stopped.
We are continuing to tap deeper into this Power of Words Series that is inspiring, empowering and giving us the right seeds to plant in our lives that will fortify and propel us into our purpose and destiny. This blog has been on FIRE with expressing the importance of pursuing Purpose, being Intentional in our pursuit, and doing everything with Intensity!
As we delve deeper into our series, we must realize the pursuit of our purpose and destiny requires Tenacity! It requires us to be persistent with a dogged devotion to achieving our goal. We must be insistent upon producing measurable results as we progress and move forward toward our destiny. There will be times in our pursuit that some stages will take longer than others and it is during these times that we must remain patient. It is during these times that are desire to achieve the goal may begin to fade. However, we must be Tenacious! Titus Lucretius Carus once said, “Constant dripping hollows out a stone.”. We must understand that it is our constant chopping away at the tasks, that will fulfill the objectives, that will in time help us to achieve our goals and move us closer to our destined place.
Along the way, “life happens” and circumstances arise that present challenges, nevertheless we must be Tenacious. We must be stalwart, which means marked by outstanding strength and vigor of body, mind, and spirit. In order to be Tenacious we must be undaunted and courageous when these tribulations arise in our lives. It is important that we root, ground and fortify ourselves spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically, so that we can remain Tenacious.
There are many people, including myself, that are testaments to what it takes to remain Tenacious even through tests and trials in our lives. It is during these times, that the thought to give up and through in the towel comes to mind. But, when you have to “get a grip”! “Get a grip” on that your goal, “get a grip” on your dream and don’t let anything pull you apart from it! You must be UNSTOPPABLE in your pursuit! THERE IS NO “THROWING IN THE TOWEL”! The only thing you need to do with the proverbial “towel” is use it to wipe your brow and keep pressing toward your Dreams! And be Tenacious About it! Remember you will WIN if you don’t quit!
We would love to hear how you remain focused and held on to your goal and your dream through the storms of life. Please share in the comment section below. If you would like to share in a vlog or FB Live interview, please let me know. Please help me to encourage others, your testimony, is needed to help encourage and propel and inspire someone else to Aspire Higher and Soar Beyond the Limits in business and life to live the Abundant Life!

Dr. Tylisha,
This is a timely and much needed word. Without patience and tenacity none of us would have been born. I am building daily habits that are delivering the goals that I have set. These are as simple as doing a minimum of 50 crunches a day and running five times a week. The results are massive not because I do a lot in one setting, it is in the consistency. For example since the year started I have written a minimum of 1,000 words a day today is day 319 this implies I have written a minimum of 319,000 words divide this by 40,000 the length of an average book we are looking at about 8 books and I have written more than 8 manuscripts since the year started.
Keep writing and inspiring us. God bless you.
